We are Anida and Marcos, a couple of travellers and foodies turned bloggers.

We are deep urbanites, we like road trips a lot more than hiking. Travelling to get lost in other cities and countries discover other ways of thinking, living… and cooking.

We are not that type who travels to collect stamps on their passports in order to say they have been in a hundred countries. We like getting to know new places – not just being there. Learning about its history and culture, what is old and new, what are its unique features.

Part of the culture of any place on Earth is cuisine and it is also one of our passions  – that is why we dedicate a section of our blog for it.

Marcos is the photographer and writer. He is a bit of a history geek and he loves driving in mountain roads, but hates cars in the city. As a kid he travelled a lot around Europe, and enjoyed reading signs in a foreign language even in that old Ford without air conditioning. He changed it later for an old Volvo, sturdy and great for long trips (from Madrid down to Ohrid, for example). He was visited around 35 countries, also in Asia, Africa and America. And many more are on our list.

Anida is the social media manager and the expert when it comes to Albania, its culture and cuisine (she is a great cook). As she moved recently to Spain, talking about Albania allows her to connect and never lose contact to her culture and people as she loves all of it. We have discovered fair Albania together. Therefore, we have both the local and the foreign point of view of this country which is yet largely unknown for the public. This is a unique insight that we want to share with you.

You will be able to discover Albania like an Albanian and Spain like a Spaniard. Where to go and what to eat, tricks so as not to be tricked, and we will even teach you how to cook some delicious Albanian and Spanish dishes… and NOT only!

Because of course Drive me foody is not only about Albania, nor about Spain. In this little corner of the web, we will share our trips, adventures, reflections and experiences from all over the world. We will talk about all the places we really know and the peoples, cultures and dishes we have met.

We hope to drive you crazy travellers and foodies (like us)!
